The theme: Navys, grays, pinks and peach. As the wedding coordinator at Wyndridge Farm, Shayla has seen a lot. When her parents bought a farm and offered it as a venue, she considered getting married on a horse then decided…not to.

The relationship: The couple joked their cake topper should have said, “We swiped right,” since they met on Tinder.

The details: String lighting, uplit trees, picnic tables dressed up with florals, a “tree of life” draped and hung with blooms, plus a unity tree. A lacy gown with a keyhole back, worn with topaz earrings. A large wedding party, with bridesmaids in navy. Exceptional florals interwove pink yarrow, red astilbe, pink ice protea, yellow pin cushions, waxflower and hanging amaranthus. Since John and several guests were police officers, handcuffs made an appearance, and the Dunkin’ Donuts favors quickly disappeared. Shedding shoes, everyone danced in the grass as the daylight faded to dusk.

Best quotes: Groom—“I want to bring peace into our home. I thank God and can’t wait to see where He leads us on this crazy ride together.” Best man—“May the mustard flow ever bountifully forth…” (long story).

The honeymoon: Day one, whitewater rafting in Telluride, CO—John warned Shayla not to fall in, then had to be rescued from the rapids himself. Hiking up to waterfalls, a hot air balloon ride and a 4x4 trip up such a steep mountain the guide had to drive on the edge of the cliff…backwards.
